In addition to Aviation, Coulson has pursued other endeavours, the most recent of which has been Coulson Ice Blast, an industrial cleaning technology that has applications in many industries. In fact, Coulson was recently recognized with awards for our ground-breaking technology.


We are seeking an experienced Jet Captain to operate our CL600 Challenger aircraft. The aircraft is based at CZBB and CBS8, depending on the season. The successful candidate will report and receive all tasking from the VP Coulson Aviation, while all scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance issues are coordinated with the Director of Maintenance, or the company General Manager. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to seek and contract a suitable FO for all planned flights. This aircraft is US registered and it operates under Part 91 of the FARs.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of all passengers on board from take-off to landing.
  • Ensure the aircraft is manned and operated in accordance with all relevant FAA regulations.
  • Complete all flight planning, cross border APIS documentation, coordinate with all relevant FBOs to support the flight, coordinate all passenger transportation at destination, and all other tasks appropriate to ensure the successful completion of the trip(s).
  • Ensure aircraft galley is stocked and interior cleaned prior to all flights.


  • Valid FAA License (minimum: Commercial Multi-engine IFR)
  • If not currently FAA Licensed, must hold the Canadian equivalent and be willing to complete the FAA conversion exams
  • Hold a valid passport (Canadian or US) for country of residence
  • 5,000+ hours total flying time
  • 3,000 hours multi-engine
  • 2,500 hours pilot in command
  • 2,000 hours turbojet
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Level 5 English proficiency
  • Reside in, or be willing to locate to, the Lower Mainland BC, mid-Vancouver Island, or NW Washington state

A CL600 Type rating an asset.
