Reporting to VH Provincial Director, the Provincial Manager VH is a key leadership role providing expert direction and leadership of virtual clinical programs operations and supporting the vision and strategic directions of the Virtual Health Program. The Provincial Manager VH will develop and maintain strong working relationships with other leadership positions within this portfolio as well as with key stakeholders (clinical and operational), both locally and provincially. The position also works closely with AHS Information Technology and Connect Care to leverage innovative tools to meet virtual clinical needs. Through the management of an innovative team, the Provincial Manager VH supports and plans virtual care delivery with clinical and operational partners, integrating innovation into day-to-day clinical service delivery. The position leads various meetings, committees, and project teams and supports planning, implementation, and evaluation of virtual clinical projects. The Provincial Manager VH will have the ability to manage and balance day-to-day operations with supporting program development and strategic direction.
Operational leadership – through effective communication, decision-making and commitment to the achieving established AHS VH Strategic Directions, leads a geographically dispersed team made up of Clinical Facilitators. Change leadership - working with stakeholders engaged in clinical process, conceptualizes and implements innovative service delivery models that supports clinical service integration through innovation. Reporting, problem solving and adapting business plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges that could negatively impact service delivery. Strategic planning - early identification and reporting of clinical trends and innovative opportunities that would benefit the organization through use of virtual technology. Budget accountability – as required by Director.

A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a health sciences field or related area plus appropriate license or other recognized designation is preferred. A graduate degree in health care management, business administration or related field is desirable. A minimum of 6 years of progressive, diverse healthcare leadership experience in a health care organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Equivalencies of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Successful leadership experience in project planning, execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation. Experience in resource management including planning and budgetary accountability. Proven abilities in complex problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation and negotiation. Recognized as an effective Team Leader with successful experience in strategic human resource management. Significant successful experience in leading and supervising staff within a health care environment. Experience in initiating and fostering positive relationships and partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders. Ability to deal with highly complex or sensitive issues in a professional manner. Considerable skill is needed to balance diverse and, occasionally conflicting, stakeholder interests. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client-focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services.
