What You’ll Be Doing
The Process Engineering team identifies and executes process improvements that increase profitability and enhance the customer and employee experience with CIBC.
We work on a wide variety of projects that are both strategic and tactical in nature. We reengineer key customer "moment of truth" processes to increase quality and value, as defined by our customers. Our Team is the Center of Excellence for Lean / Six Sigma methodology within CIBC, and we provide training for new employees and business partners to achieve their Yellow, Green or Black Belt certifications.
Examples of typical projects within the scope of the process engineering area would be:
Design and build of a workflow tool that connects the front line branches and the back office operations.
Implementation and support of the launch of 3rd party technologies that eliminates the use of paper from the branch network.
Leverage structured research to identify and target process improvements aimed at maximizing client experience in the sales processes.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Process Engineering, you will be responsible for leading assigned projects, and ensuring that all new / changed systems installed are effective, easy to learn and use and installed in a manner that best accommodates the client. You will provide technical process engineering leadership, project leadership and mentoring. You will be required to train process engineers and associates in process engineering philosophy and methodologies. You will with business unit leadership in the development and execution of process engineering projects.
How You’ll Succeed
Problem Solving Expertise - Plan, support and provide training and coaching in Process Engineering and other improvement methodologies to executives, process owners, process engineers, associates and others. Teach process engineers and associates in all or in specific aspects of process engineering and other improvement methodologies.
Leadership - Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process / productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that will lead to cost reduction and competitive advantage. Provide active and aggressive leadership in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve customer satisfaction and cycle time and to reduce costs.
Deliver Results - Drive process-engineering effort across the company to meet annual productivity targets while fostering a process engineering culture change. Act as a proactive strategic resource to business by identifying, planning and implementing process engineering and other improvement strategies and projects with senior leadership. Drive and track projects to successful completion. Provide management with project status updates, feedback and appropriate reporting on key, process-focused objectives.
