Post-secondary education in social sciences, administration or project management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience with project and change management, including initiating, planning and executing activities throughout the entire project lifecycle
Experience leading or participating in strategic planning
Experience interpreting and applying acts, legislation, regulations and policies and procedures related to accommodation
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively and manage conflict with both internal and external stakeholders utilizing discretion and political acumen
Ability to exercise good judgement when prioritizing projects, solving problems and making decisions
Excellent written communication skills with experience writing a variety of clear, concise correspondence, documents and reports
Excellent verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with government central policies including the General Manual of Administration, the Financial Administration Manual, the Procurement Administration Manual
Experience preparing a variety of documents such as Treasury Board submissions, briefing notes, reports and summaries, project management documents, departmental policies and communications
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Corporate Services, and accountable to the Executive Management Committee, the Space Planning Coordinator is responsible for the policy development, administration, implementation and communication activities involved in the support and execution of departmental space changes. The incumbent is responsible to work closely with the department’s senior and executive management, the Department of Families Workplace Safety and Health Unit, the Accommodation Services Division (ASD) in the Department of Finance, other Provincial departments and other external partners and contractors to strategically identify and prioritize all small and major accommodation projects with consideration for the department’s current and future operating needs.
