The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler to join us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed production plans and identifying material and resource availability. Your core responsibilities will include:

Creating daily, weekly, and long-term production schedules by analyzing multiple variables, including availability of raw materials, current and future order volume, labour availability, and production capacity
Reviewing capacity, resolving bottlenecks and constraints, and suggesting process improvements to improve efficiencies
Conducting analyses to determine alternative courses of action, as required, or recovery action required to maintain on-time shipment schedules
Working collaboratively with Supply Chain to ensure delivery and availability of raw materials
Maintaining optimum finished goods inventory levels to meet customer expectations for on-time delivery
Working closely with Production and Customer Service to plan, schedule, and communicate the status of customer requirements
Developing, implementing and managing performance metrics (KPIs)
Supporting new product introduction
The Ideal Candidate

Has a minimum of three years of experience in production scheduling or planning
Has previous experience with ERP systems, particularly production planning and inventory management
Is highly proficient in the Microsoft Suite of programs, specifically Excel
Is detail oriented and can effectively manage competing priorities
Has a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work on a production floor
Is an analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
Has expert level written and verbal communication skills
Understands the importance of our high-degree of product quality and compliance to health and safety standards
