This is an operational team member position being a ship clerk for 2 days and in operations for the other 2 days. This is a 10 hour shift, and the days of work are Monday and Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 05:30 to 16:00 and once trained the successful candicate will work 2 days as the ship clerk dealing with waving orders, customer emails, receiving empty inbound trailers, having drivers sign for loaded trailers, and sealing the outbound trailer before driver departs the DC. What is listed is the minimum of the duties and does entail other duties thru out the shift.
This also entails covering for other ship clerks who are on vacation, so could entail working 4 shifts as a ship clerk on a given week.
Each interested internal posting from team members must have a resume attached to the spplication when applying for the posistion of ship clerk for 2 days and working on the production floor for the other 2 daqys. Training will entail working Wednesday to Satutday to learn the ship clerk duties and then when fully trained it would switch to Monday and Tuesday in operations, and then Friday and Saturday as the ship clerk. Note that on Saturday it includes being able to be on site until all trailers are loaded as there is no afternoon clerk that takes over on Saturday.
Provide clerical and administrative support to the assigned location
Codes delivery manifests and prepares billing.
Compiles statistical information from manifest data and prepares related report.
Inputs delivery information into computer.
Assists with dispatching as needed.
Handles owner/operator settlement problems.
Contacts customers to confirm delivery details.
Checks postponements and cancellations against delivery manifest.
Prepares purchase orders for signature.
Types correspondence for department managers.
Maintains the department files.
Required Education and Experience:
1-2 years related experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
