We have a full-time position for a Systems Analyst (Office 365 & SharePoint) in Calgary, AB.
The role of the Senior Systems Analyst is to primarily oversee and coordinate the planning, development and administration of Office 365 collaboration services and SharePoint platforms; and provide secondary support for Salesforce platforms. They are responsible for ensuring there is consistency in policies, procedures, standards and processes across the applications while designing the different environments.
The ideal candidate will proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: functional requirements, business requirements, use cases, screen and interface designs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan IT Business:
Collaborate in assessing products and platforms ;
Manage IT User Relations:
Assist in managing periodic systems validation reviews;
Be champion for IT Services;
Assist in managing change;
Assist with defining/establishing project priorities and objectives;
Assist with project scoping and identifying information sources;
Assist in establishing metrics and success criteria.
Manage the design, development and deployment of products and services projects:
Conducting discovery sessions to gather requirements for SharePoint projects
Creating technical and functional documentation
Designing SharePoint sites and applications and overseeing their implementations
Providing technical analysis on business projects
Ensuring SharePoint is delivering value to various departments by identifying their needs
Ensuring SharePoint best practices are in place and adhered to
Work within budgets and allocated staff and resources;
Ensure performance and quality;
Adhere to project and production methodology and change control;
Discuss with various Project Managers about budget, timeline and issues;
Identify and ensure resolution of any integration issues;
Conform to IT methods and standards;
Ensure documentation is updated;
Assist in reviewing applications/system functionality;
Assist with decommissioning legacy systems;
Ensure the design and development of applications/systems/security functionality;
Design test plans/scripts to confirm reporting accuracy and system configurations meet desired business processes;
Gather and present requirements to development team to provide specifications for developing solutions;
Assist with required data conversion efforts;
Provide input and recommendations regarding system/business process changes and improvement;
Pro-actively identify and communicate issues/tasks and follow-through; a self-starter.
Evolve IT Architecture:
Assist with the development and update of IT policies, procedures and standards.
Document SharePoint configurations and architecture
Develop and manage IT vendor relationships:
Assess vendor capabilities;
Lead vendors assigned to projects under his/her responsibilities.
Manage the day to day operations of the SharePoint and Salesforce systems
Install, configure, upgrade and maintain SharePoint systems
Train employees on SharePoint usage and provide support to end users
Add/Modify/Delete users accounts in assigned systems;
Responsible for maintenance of system including system health checks, compliance audits for permissions, etc.;
Respond to all tickets generated from the Service Desk in a timely manner;
Responsible for working with the Training Manager to ensure that the training materials are complete and up to date.
BSc, BComm or other relevant degree, or diploma and demonstrated experience;
5+ years’ experience with increasing responsibility;
2+ years’ implementing solutions for SharePoint Online
3+ years of SharePoint experience as an administrator, developer or power user
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations
1+ years’ experience with salesforce.com as administrator and advocate;
Experience constructing workflow charts and diagrams
Experience with LogicApps and Power Automate
Very good knowledge of processes and dependencies;
Experienced with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies;
Excellent communication and change management skills;
Ability to select appropriately from applicable standards, methods, tools and applications;
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem solving;
Ability to interact well with technical teams, business owners and management at all levels of the organization;
Ability to influence team and specialist peers;
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
