What Is The Opportunity?
Performance Haus is hiring a motivated and driven Junior Estimator to support our continued growth. You will be a great fit for this role if you are a team player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, along with a background in the construction industry and an interest in the high-performance building products. We are looking for someone who is professional and personable when interacting with staff, customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities
· Understand customer needs and provide product recommendations aligned with design and energy performance goals.
· Support the sales team by completing material takeoffs, estimates, and order processing. Accuracy is crucial.
· Develop expertise in building products and stay updated on industry trends.
· Deliver compelling presentations to showcase how products enhance design and energy efficiency.
· Answer a combination of phone calls and emails to provide support to customers.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
· Cover office front desk when required (i.e., answering phones and directing walk in traffic).
· Receive and unload trucks in yard and warehouse using a forklift.
· Assemble orders for pick up or shipping.
· Inventory management in warehouse.
· Provide exceptional support throughout the sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
This position requires the following essential skills, experience and abilities:
· 1-3 years experience in the construction, sustainability, or building science industries.
· Experience with blueprints, takeoffs, and building quotes.
· Interest or experience in high-performance, net zero and/or passive house buildings.
· Extremely detail oriented with ability to review, compare multiple documents in order to create take offs, estimates and/or orders.
· Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
· Positive attitude and eager to learn.
· Forklift training/experience is a plus.

We provide comprehensive benefits upon successful completion of a probationary period. A competitive salary will be provided, proportionate to experience.
