The Sr. Director, HR Planning, HR4HR and Asset Protection is a dual role encompassing a generalist and COE role. With a deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR, this role will also manage programs and lead a team while also possessing a strong strategic mind set.

This position reports to the CHRO and supports the HR Function and Leadership team as a strategic thought partner on enterprise HR initiatives as well as Division/BU support. The incumbent will be responsible for enabling the achievement of business goals through dedicated HR Support to the HR/AP team. This position is also responsible for influencing a “think forward” culture in HR by proactively supporting all elements of developing and delivering the HR strategy, creating efficiency in program delivery and providing analytical insights to drive effective decision making. This position also has accountability for HR reporting for the HR function as well as the Enterprise. The Sr. Director works on high profile strategic projects that are related to the HR function in support of enterprise strategies.

Key Responsibilities :
Provides recommendations to the HR/AP Leadership team regarding HR strategy and tactical direction within the functional areas of HR to include performance management, colleague development, learning & training, total rewards, talent management and recruitment
Lead the process to set 3-5 year HR strategy and annual planning with HR Executives, consolidate annual HR plan and Divisional/BU priorities to identify risks and opportunities, and propose potential solutions
Serve as PM for enterprise-wide/large scale national projects as required (i.e. high priority strategic initiatives, multi-divisional, high change/people impact), providing support to both HR Executives/leads and Business Executives and involving a high degree of personal decision making. Consult on PM principles for each phase of project planning, including change/communication plans.
Provide relevant metrics/updates for enterprise-wide reports (BOD, MB, ERM, IMC, Qtrly People/Culture Meetings); Partners with business unit leadership to set budget related to HR activity and management of the budget throughout the fiscal cycle.
Facilitate opportunities for synergies across groups. Build the infrastructure to support HR effectiveness and continuous improvement (planning/reporting tools, feedback).
Partners with the HR COEs in the development and implementation of HR initiatives to ensure that the HR/AP business units are appropriately supported (i.e. leadership development, succession planning)
Focus on developing strategies that attract key talent into the businesses, as well as retain and develop high potential and high performing colleagues.
Leads and fosters a results-driven, high performance team and organization, through role clarity, compensation management, coaching, training and development.

Post-secondary education in business, HR or related discipline, preferably with a CHRM or CHRP designation.
7 - 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources.
Proven HR professional with both generalist and specialist experience, who is a critical thinker, detailed oriented and can define and translate business initiatives into clear, consistent and systematic HR Strategy.
Must have exceptional organizational skills and substantial knowledge of the many initiatives/cyclical work happening in each area of the HR function
Strong written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on verbal reasoning, resolution of issues and listening skills.
Superior leadership and project management skills with proven ability to lead a team and deliver objectives on time and within budget.
Experience managing large projects with multiple stakeholders and high degree of change
Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, effectively communicate ideas and develop strong partnerships across Human Resources and Business Units in all levels in the organizations
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing work environment
Strong technical skills (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook).
