Based in Ottawa and working within the Professional Services engineering group, the Network Engineer is a self-motivated individual who will provide engineering services for global projects. These projects are primarily with NA based customers but could also include EMEA and APAC customer engagements.
The Network Engineer will provide technical engineering support to the Sales, Software Development, Engineering and Operations teams.
Responsible for analyzing, designing and developing commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for the customers in the Service Assurance area for both Ericsson and third party products. Responsible for profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs and technology opportunities into detailed technical offering, solutions and proposals.
Scope, define and design solution offerings; driving end-to-end technical solutions.
Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis
Work with project team on list of potential activities, solutions and project phases
Develop technical presentations and proposals
Perform customer presentations and demonstrations
Support deployment of solution and prevent feature/scope creep.
Provide feedback to R&D
Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing.
Stay abreast of new technology/technical areas and share information about solution to enable customer competence build.
Deliver all services as per the Ericsson Delivery Processes.
Expected to travel internationally and sometimes on short notice with variable durations as needed.
Play significant role in improvement initiatives as well as building re-usable components to improve service delivery of a solution.
Responsible for continuously keeping your competence and skills up to date.
Expected to mentor others.
May be expected to take on senior roles such as Team Leader, etc.

To be successful in this role you will need:
Experience from technical roles focusing on integration is a required experience for this role, e.g. experience from work as Integration Engineer.
Good knowledge of operator networks and business environments. Good knowledge of Wireless and broadband networks.
Good knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and NFV Real-time Troubleshooting and Analytics.
Good knowledge of data population approaches in the areas of inventory, fault and performance domain including the creation of service models for correlating input.
