Manage cross functional teams to ensure campaign measurement reporting is produced for key business partners.
Fact based decision making
Enterprise visualization tools and platforms
Co-ordinate necessary internal resources to ensure completion by deadline dates.
Prioritize and manage workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines.
Establish effective relationships across multiple business and technology partners, program and project managers.
Support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork; ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
Works effectively as a team player; supporting other members of the team in achieving business objectives and providing services.
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Deliver Data Scientifics to Loblaw Media and associate Partners.
Perform root cause analysis, A3, Analytical quality control or other method to drive operational, product, customer or marketing Scientifics.
Work to fulfill ad-hoc requests such as pulling data and providing it to the functional business teams.
Introduce opportunities for machine learning and/or advanced AI applications.
Apply statistical techniques (i.e. regression, decision trees, etc.) to drive fact based decision making within marketing
Work with business stakeholders to generate hypotheses for campaigns.
Function as an interpreter or an intermediary, identifying data needs and explaining the importance and use of the data.
Work collaboratively with data visualui partners.
Provide/present business explanation of analysis results.
Ensure Solid data
Flag new data via external partner, internal partners or adhoc asks.
Filter, tag, join, parse, and normalize data from various system (production and reporting).
Cleaning and validating the data to ensure accuracy, completeness and uniformity.
Identifying data issues (via anomaly detection methods or other) and solutions to remedy gaps.
Explore/perform “what if” analysis to understand potential data and process gaps pertaining to the data.
Work with partners to extract, transform, and load data from an extremely wide field of data sources into staging datasets and ultimately into visualization tools
Fashion compelling visuals
Create stimulating visualizations to drive analytical proof points to business partners
Optimize performance of dashboards and/or develop new dashboards
Use data visualization tools to rapidly generate interactive sessions
Review and Communication (i.e. explain the meaning) of findings to business teams and management via dashboards.
Master’s or Bachelor’s in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering
5+ years of analytics experience with specific focus on Visualization tools, methodologies, and/or responsibilities (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview, Spotfire, Cognos, SAS, agile/scrum methodologies)
Programming skills in various languages (SQL, R, Hive, Java, .Net, PHP, Rails). SAS/SQL are mandatory
Strong applied understanding of Machine learning and data mining (Supervised learning Clustering, dimensionality reduction, anomaly detection, etc.)
Strong knowledge of data management, practices and standards.
Must be familiar with various types of data models, such as logical/relational models, dimensional models, etc.
Strong oral and written communication skills
