Work closely with the Manager and other Specialists, you will be responsible for driving category growth in Print Services, topline sales and margin growth. Also supporting the stores and the online business team on a wide range of projects involving new products and services.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Services Offerings Management (30%)
Work with Stores, Production Facilities and vendors to manage inventory levels, and support sales demands
Work with Manager on Line Reviews.
Select products/services and develop sales plans and forecasts to reflect advertising initiatives, market trends and peak selling periods such as the holiday season.
Analyze and update pricing data on a regular basis.
Increase the department budgeted gross margin and sales.
Assist with the forecasting on all designated SKU’s.
Work with Manager on development of custom print assortment, and services offering.
Monitor integrity of AS400 data as well as utilize the system for purposes of analyzing sales data for each location.
SKU set-up and maintenance for retail stores, online, and outside sales team.
Coordinate & Communicate Program Materials with stores and the online team.
Active member of project teams to launch new programs and seasonal events.
Ensure that Stores, Production Facilities, online team and other departments receive the information they need with respect to new, changed, or discontinued products/programs.
Establish regular and effective communication with stores and Production Facilities through playbooks, newsletters, and on-site visits. And Provide support to the stores on a frequent basis with regards to promotional events, vendor communications, program launches and price changes.
Partner with Store Communications/Operations team to successfully communicate programs, strategy and sales drivers.
Support new store openings, store transformations and renovations.
Return all store calls/emails before the end of each day (within 24 hours).
Participate in planning promotional and advertising events.
Assist with the proofing of all advertised material when required.
Select assortment for advertising and negotiate offers with vendors.
Coordinate promotional planner for specific categories.
Assist in coordinating in store signage and in store samples
Work in partnership with merch team to ensure planograms are accurate and up to date.
Work with vendors on new products/program launches
E-commerce initiatives - Create and coordinate Web Banners, targeted emails and deals centre.
Coordinate online promotional updates with vendors
Vendor Relations (10%)
Negotiate pricing and promotional funding with vendors.
Plan marketing activities
Work with suppliers to make arrangements for special orders and the general replenishment of stock.
Work with vendors/stores on events such as the Training Symposiums, vendor Expos etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS
This role involves 10% travel through Canada.
Knowledge / Skill Requirements:
Understanding of financial/sales data and ability to analyze the data.
Exposure to working in project teams / collaborative work environment is an asset
An understanding of marketing campaigns and/or exposure to online marketing and social media
Comprehensive knowledge of category related product currently available, coupled with a high awareness of industry trends and new product directions.
Print knowledge is an asset
Previous work experience in a service role such as Print, Design, or Marketing would be an asset
Required to commit sufficient time and to a varying schedule to meet the demands of the position.
Minimum of 1-3 years of previous retail management, merchandising experience in service industry.
Print Services industry experience is an asset
Post secondary diploma with a focus on retail management, project management, merchandising and/or equivalent experience.
