Job Description
Position purpose-

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director- Roquette Canada, the Human Resources Training Specialist’s primary function is to provide training and ongoing support to Roquette Canada employees and perform other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities-

Lead training efforts for all roles
Responsible for all training logistics for training products (including but not limited to securing room, instructors, materials, administration of evaluations and assessments)
Responsible for collection and evaluation of training requirements presented by departments and employees.
Develop training paths for the onboarding of new employees.
Develop and maintain Skills Matrix for assessing the skills of the workforce to ensure gaps are identified and training plans developed to close gaps
Monitoring and reporting training metrics
Administer and manage training materials relating to Workday learning.
Help in the selection and purchase of training materials, services and evaluation methods to assure training needs are satisfied.
Update and maintain training documentation in line with Roquette programs, policies and procedures.
Coordinate learning deliverables in alignment with Roquette project initiatives.
Develop training and teaching materials including; training strategies, lesson plans, presentation materials and training activities to maximize learning impact.
Leverage in house learning systems (such as Workday) to design and develop new training curriculum, including the usage of appropriate tools to evaluate learning, such as multiple-choice quizzes, checklists, case studies, scenarios etc.
Deliver classroom or online training on process and project training initiatives that impact Roquette Team.
When required, design e-learning modules that are professional, interactive and creative while applying instructional design principles to ensure they meet the client’s learning objectives.
Provide feedback to Managers regarding trainees' performance and development and make recommendations for improvement.
Support the Subject Matter Experts (SME) and management in assessing individual and team learning needs to identify departmental training gaps.
Identify improvement opportunities for training and processes to enhance learning experience.
Be willing to work extra hours if and when needed.
Other duties as assigned from time to time.
This role will also consist of other H.R Generalist duties

Technical competencies-

Ability to develop, manage and update course material and maintain operational integrity
Ability to develop and deliver online learning experiences with and for a wide variety of audiences including operators and salaried workforce.
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Knowledge of full e-Learning development process
Knowledge of the fundamentals of web-based-training instructional design.
MS Office proficiency

Qualifications-

Education:
Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Bachelor Degree in Arts or another discipline

Experience:
2 to 7 years’ experience being responsible for training in a manufacturing environment
Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
Demonstrated experience in developing e-learning strategies, plans and processes
Experience designing and interpreting user manuals
Experience with e-learning platforms
Business Trips (Percentage): Up to 20% - Travel to other plants in the U.S or France may be a possibility. Must have a valid passport or willing to obtain one.
