Job Description & Summary

A career in Firm Strategy and Communications, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to establish effective communication programmes that enhance PwC’s vision, strategy, values, and purpose. You’ll focus on designing communication initiatives that aid in implementing new policies and programmes and that will enhance the organisation’s relations with the community, public, government, shareholders, and employees.

Our Internal Communications team creates and implements the most effective communication strategies and tactics that drives PwC’s strategy and aligns its vision and purpose. As part of the team, you’ll create high quality and high impact communications that engage our partners and people and enhance the PwC’s culture and brand.

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated corporate communications strategies
Provide communications planning and support for Marketing, Communications & Sales campaigns, priorities and deliverables
Develop leadership communications and regular updates (including alignment of national, business unit and regional messaging)
Manage and support the firm’s corporate communications channels (e.g. digital signage, videos, webcasting etc.), including owning and coordinating the weekly internal news editorial and publishing processes
Provide guidance and best practices to other team members and stakeholders on improving their writing style
Support and enable the firm’s communications “cascade” model to support PwC’s strategy, business plans and priorities
Develop innovative ideas and content for partner and staff engagement meetings, feedback sessions and networking events (e.g. partner and staff meetings, town halls, quarterly updates)
Assist with the external profiles (PR and social media) to help position leaders on issues aligned to firm strategy
Conduct research, as necessary, to support line of service communications strategy and tactics
Share and liaise on communications best practices with National Communications colleagues
Measure and report on the impact of communication strategy, channel effectiveness and tactics
Please note this is a contract opportunity with an end date of December 2020.

Requirements:
An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
8+ years of experience in a series of communication roles, ideally within a professional services firm
A Bachelor’s degree in Business/ Communications/ Marketing or a relevant field
An understanding of corporate communications and its link to business strategy
Working knowledge of PR and social media
Working knowledge of Google G-Suite
Excellent client service skills - with a proven ability to create communications tactics to support client business objectives
Strong relationship building abilities, largely centered on listening skills
Demonstrated success working with senior leadership, developing relationships, addressing their needs and providing communications counsel
Previous achievement in understanding the needs and sensitivities of different audiences and adapting appropriate writing style and content
Strong attention to detail, deadlines and impact of actions on others
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Excellent organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills
Willingness to aid colleagues and contribute to the continual building of a successful, high-functioning team
The ability to work effectively in a matrix and relationship-driven organization
