We are searching for a competent and reliable Gardener to maintain gardens on a Large Estate property.

This is a seasonal position with Hours varying based on weather, Flexibility is required.

You will be responsible for all general maintenance tasks related to the gardens and vegetable gardens including new planting in gardens and planters, operating garden equipment & tools, conducting regular pruning, and advising the owner of cost-effective methods.

This is an outdoor position with daily exposure to heat and summer weather conditions and will require bending, crouching and repetitive physical motions. To succeed in this role, you should be physically fit and able to lift up to 25/35lbs. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional and possess in-depth knowledge of effective gardening techniques and basic knowledge of plants and required care.


  • Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations of the property owner.
  • Perform basic maintenance such as managing weed control, soil turning, fertilization and leaf raking.
  • Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, vegetables and various plants.
  • Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as trimmers.
  • Keep clean and organised all gardening tools and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.
  • Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
  • Advise management on the costs of plants and garden necessities.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • At least 2 years' proven experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to handle a range of horticultural equipment and powered hand tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
  • Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
