Reporting to the Director of Sales, Industrial Services, the Sales Associate is responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including; generating and qualifying leads, determining client needs, presenting a solution, demonstrating a high level of service, closing the sale, growing customer relationships, and preparing company reporting.
Responsible for meeting and exceeding established sales targets to increase revenue and profitability of Horizon North (HN) product solutions, the Sales Associate will manage customer relationships from contract execution through delivery to after sales service; and will solicit referrals from these customers, where possible. Working collaboratively with the Sales and Marketing team, the successful candidate must be flexible to travel regularly to various locations throughout Western and Northern Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and grow current strategic accounts within an existing customer base which includes staying informed of client changes, developments and opportunities that will lead to increased sales for HN’s products and services.
Prospect and develop allocated strategic accounts by developing relationships with key decision makers.
Manage the full sales cycle from identification of potential business to the award, including client retention through scheduled client follow-up/debriefs and account management.
Oversee both the negotiation and closing of sales on all HN products and services
Demonstrate, develop and maintain a high level of superior customer service, skill development and product knowledge development.
Execute (along with the Sales Manager, Strategic Accounts) the Strategic Account – Account Management process, including adherence to the HN Sales Methodology and communication to management.
Co-ordinate and collaborate between various internal resources and divisions, including Operations, Accounts Receivables, Proposal Development and Bid Teams to ensure the quality of all HN product/service solutions are accurately delivered to the client.
Keep abreast of market conditions, competition and report all relevant intelligence.
Participate in corporate marketing activities such as conferences, trade shows, community events and open house events, if and when required.
Deliver presentations promoting products and services and follow up with prospective clients.
Represent the Company in an ethical and professional manner.
Process necessary paperwork to initiate contracts.
Update and log customer information and interactions in company CRM system as required.
Work within the Key Sales Performance indicator system (KSPIs) for the Strategic Account Associates to ensure forecasted growth and participate in on-going performance reviews.
Achieve quarterly sales quotas and the objectives of employment.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
1 - 3 years in sales and/or business development with a proven successful track record
University degree or technical diploma in commerce, business administration, engineering or related field is an asset;
Previous sales experience in the oil & gas industry, preferably in the general oil and gas services sector and specifically in oilfields rentals or workforce accommodations is an asset; and
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
