Maintenance Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and carries out maintenance planning, scheduling, and allocation of tasks and duties. Supervises mechanical crews and monitors performance
  • Works with crews to lead, coach, mentor, and ensure accurate and timely completion of projects
  • Maintains plant production equipment, electrical systems, facilities and grounds
  • Promotes team work, cooperation, and a workplace culture that is in line with overall business objectives
  • Leads by example; provides hands-on training, direction, and feedback to team members
  • Suggests improvements and assists in the development and implementation of processes, policies, and procedures
  • Follows preventative maintenance programs, keeps accurate maintenance records and contributes to the development of preventative maintenance plans. Ensures records are created in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assists in maintaining the spare parts and equipment inventory to satisfy production demand and limit equipment downtime
  • Assists the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Planner, and plant Engineers as required

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum 7-10 years’ hands on experience as a Millwright in a manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience and proven ability to lead teams
  • Must have an understanding of electrical components and processes to coordinate Electricians in conjunction with Maintenance Millwrights
  • Must be able of lifting up to 50lbs

  • Able to analyze and solve problems in an efficient and effective manner
