Wiseman & Mills is a small but growing firm of CPA’s located in the Royal Oak area of Victoria B.C. Our small firm culture results in a friendly work environment and open-door policy with all staff and partners, plus a work-life balance that is hard to beat. In addition to vacation allotment and bankable overtime our accounting staff enjoy our flex day program which provides for long week-ends every week of the summer. Overtime is kept to reasonable levels even in April. If desired, the position can be structured to allow for additional time off during our slower time.

We service a wide cross-section of businesses and professionals primarily based in the Victoria area, but also serving the rest of Vancouver Island and the neighbouring islands. Our work includes accounting, financial reporting, tax preparation and planning, assurance work including review engagements and NPO audits, and forensic engagements.

About the Position

We are seeking a candidate that possesses their CPA designation, someone who enjoys both preparing and reviewing files, someone with experience in both tax and assurance, and someone who works well with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be one who can manage our assurance engagements, including a handful of NPO audits plus several review engagements. But the majority of time will focus on corporate and personal tax and accounting. We are therefore supportive of career growth opportunities which could include the CPA In-Depth Tax Program. Career growth can also include partnership opportunities.
