About Us

Sports & Recreation Services is one of the most diverse units on campus combining varsity Athletics, Recreation Activities and Facilities Operations into one unit working to contribute to the University's goals and objectives of offering the best student experience. Sport and Recreation Services offers a wide variety of services and experiences for Western students and faculty, alumni, the London community, and other stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to work for the Western Mustangs. Western University is one of the best athletic programs in the nation and this is your chance to be a part of the team. As a member of the team you will report to the Event Manager and Game Coordinators and will be required to work home games for football, basketball, hockey and volleyball. You will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable event for fans and spectators.

Responsibilities:
  • Venue preparation prior to an event
  • Equipment set up and tear down
  • Aiding in half time promotions
  • Concession sales
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics, services and facilities
  • Current first aid and CPR
  • Flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends)
  • Self-motivated
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Team oriented
