Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Events and Volunteer Coordinator, event staff will:
Assist with horse related tasks;
Assist with parking related tasks;
Cover for front desk as needed;
Assist in the General Store;
Provide support to all staff as needed including cleaning, ticket attendant, assisting with family related activities.
Orientation and Training:
The successful candidate will receive training in various areas as the position requires.
Day-to-day supervision will be provided by Events and Volunteer Coordinator.
Students must be able to assist with cleaning of the historic buildings and artifacts and must be able to be on their feet for a good portion of the day. Some of the buildings have two floors and students must be able to walk from one end of the site to the other multiple times daily
Experience in dealing with the public and/or presenting to the public would be an asset
Proficiency in a second language would be an asset
Must also have valid driver’s license and access to a car, as there is no public transit to the ranch.
The successful candidate would work Saturday and Sunday through the month of October from 10AM to 5PM. The position would start the last week in September for training and run through October with the last day being Oct 27th.
Future casual shifts may also be possible during the month of December, but are not guaranteed.
