Perioperative Services at Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS) West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) site supports community hospital services, providing all aspects of surgical care, pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively for adults. WLMH focuses on adult surgical procedures, which include general surgery, endoscopy, obstetrics, and gynecology.
Perioperative Services at WLMH has established an internal internship opportunity for current Registered Nurses within ONA. The internship opportunity will provide a training program for RNs which is inclusive of classroom and clinical components that will develop their skillset within all Operating Rooms across HHS.
The RNs who participate in this internship opportunity will be expected to commit to continued employment within the Perioperative Services Program for a period of 36 months from the commencement of the internship. Once the program is complete, RNs will resume their respective regular full-time or regular part-time position in the WLMH OR.
RNs will be working full-time hours during the internship training period.
All tuition and course material costs will be paid by HHS.
Schedule Work Hours
Monday-Friday days, afternoons (stand-by/on-call: evenings/nights/weekends/holidays).
Must be within 30 minutes of WLMH for on-call purposes.

2. Current B.C.L.S. certification
