Ace it Strategies is teaming up with The Yield Growth Corporation to source a Financial Reporting Manager to support their corporate financial reporting function at their beautiful Yaletown neighborhood of Vancouver.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for the Company’s public reporting duties as required by the CSE.

Must have an entrepreneurial drive
CPA designation required
3-5 years of experience in a senior reporting role with a public listed company, or 2 years or more of experience working with a national or an international audit firm in a managerial role or above
Strong Excel skills
Sage 50 accounting software
Job Description

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the entire financial reporting process within the company. It collaborates with other functional areas of the company to assure effective financial reporting and compliance with all financial regulations and procedures. This is a management position that is acquired through years of experience in other financial and accounting positions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparing financial statements and assisting with drafting the management discussion and analysis for quarterly and year end filings;
Completing consolidation and translation files;
Preparing financial analysis of various balance sheet and income statement accounts;
Performing monthly variance analysis of corporate costs compared with quarterly forecasts and the annual business plan;
Assisting with the annual budget and quarterly forecast process;
Assisting with year-end audit planning and liaising with the auditors;
Assisting with continuous disclosure requirements;
Dealing with common complex accounting issues include accounting for acquisitions, licensing transactions, stock-based compensation, translations and consolidations;
Reconciling sales tax accounts and submitting statutory filings;
Assisting tax consultants on income tax filing; and
Any other duties assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
