We are building an administrative office in Hamilton, Ontario, to support our efforts across Canada. We have an opportunity for an administrative professional with a background in customer care and accounting. You will be the primary point of contact for customers regarding their orders, liaising with remote sites to answer questions and resolve concerns. You will support sales orders for correct entry and tracking. You will ensure our Accounts Receivables are logged and collected within established timelines, including contacting overdue customers, and support the Accounting Manager as needed. As part of a small office team, you will support the effective processes and functioning of the office, including administrative support for Sales and other leaders to meet priorities.

Is this the job for you?

  • You have strong working experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as well as accounting administration
  • You enjoy interacting with customers by phone
  • You possess the patience and tact to ensure effective resolutions to customer or internal issues
  • You have a sense of humor and an approachable style that makes it easy for a variety of personalities to relate with you
  • You have completed at least college-level education in accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or an equivalent program
  • You have experience working with accounting software
  • You are highly proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and the Microsoft Office suite
  • You are organized
  • You pay attention to the details, and have effective time management
  • You have experience working as part of a remote team
  • You speak English fluently
  • Other languages, such as French or Spanish, would be an asset
