WW Solutions operates one of Canada’s premier vehicle processing terminals, employing approximately 330 union and exempt staff. Located on Annacis Island and in Richmond, we receive, accessorize and distribute new vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers to locations throughout Canada.We are currently seeking a superior leader as a full-time Operations Supervisor.
We are currently seeking a superior leader as a full-time Operations Supervisor for our vehicle import and distribution facility on Annacis Island.
As a front-line supervisor, you will lead 25+ employees in production processes, streamlining workflow, and logistics to meet or exceed schedules, ISO certified quality standards, and customer expectations.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for planning and directing all department activities that support the WWS objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Evaluate daily production requirements and ensure the appropriate scheduling of resources.
Provide direct, daily supervision of department employees.
Ensure adequate training of department employees.
Monitor inventory levels; identify and implement cost reduction activities.
Ensure that established operating procedures are followed for all department functions and processes.
Ensure department efficiency standards are met or exceeded while maintaining WWS standards of quality and efficiency which are established by the General Manager and are communicated via Time per Activity (TPA) and Labor Efficiency Goals (PET).
Maintain workplace safety standards, including proper storage/handling of hazardous waste materials.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.

3-5 years of supervisory experience, including experience in a unionized environment
Excellent leadership skills, fostering a collaborative work environment
Able to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
Superior judgment and ability to make decisions
Flexibility to work day/afternoon shifts and shifts that encompass a day on the weekend
Commitment to quality and safe work practices
Good analytical abilities and computer skills
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic hand and power tools (drills, impact guns, grinder air tools, hoists)
Industrial First Aid, Level II an asset
Experience in the automotive industry an asset
High school graduate; some post-secondary education preferred
Valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract (Please ensure to provide a copy of your driver's abstract with your application in order to be considered)
