Here's how you will contribute to the success of the company.

Our team goal is to fix our client’s complex technical IT issues. You will contribute to this goal by integrating our IT department and ensuring the security systems are functioning and properly configured. You will also participate in all decisions and initiatives involving the company’s security. To do this, you will collaborate with the IT infrastructure team as well as the System Administrators and those responsible for Project Operations.

Here's what your day-to-day will look like in this role:
Work with the person responsible for network infrastructure to ensure the security systems are functioning properly, available and secure (firewall, intrustion prevention, intrusion detection, information management and security events, etc.)
Test and analyze security in various environments in order to detect potential breaches
Be responsible for SherWeb’s security policy
Monitor security and indicate all threats related to the security systems
Provide risk analysis and recommendations to upper management
Provide advice about daily operations to ensure best practices to improve security are respected
Participate in all new implementations by introducing practical examples for best security practices
Help build the architecture for the network infrastructure
Help choose the technology, equipment and security network
Plan, document and put in place the necessary procedures to operate and optimize our platforms
Develop benchmarks to test and document the changes made to security features or the integration of new technology
Monitor the technical evolution and deployment of security systems and the network components by ensuring the environment remains stable
Write reports, manuals and other documents linked to your field of expertise
All other related tasks that support the evolution of the company, the IT department’s service activities and your role as a Security Specialist

Here's what you need to master and have to get the job.

If you have at least half, you have a great chance to receive a call from us.

College diploma in Network Administration or Computer Science or any other similar training
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Network and Security in a hosted environment
Solid knowledge of security concepts with the following certifications: CISSP, CISA or GIAC
Knowledge of Sourcefire, Check Point and FortiGate firewalls as well as products and concepts related to a Virtual Private Network
Knowledge of Cisco products and network concepts
Bilingual (English and French)
