Reports to the Senior Vice-President, Chief Legal and Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary, the successful candidate will have the following responsabilities:
Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice-President and the members of her team;
Assist in the drafting of correspondence and the preparation and review of legal documents and agreements in both official language;
Examine and analyze documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines;
Coordinate the participation of several internal parties to ensure the production of legal documents within the required time frame;
Organize and maintain the filing system;
Prepare contracts from templates and amend them as required.
Participate in the review of various documents;
Receive and process routine requests or forward them to the appropriate person, if necessary;
Implement and maintain a reminder system (tasks, measures to be taken, follow-up);
Participate in the preparation and updating of legal documents and templates, including precedent and case law documents;
Participate in the formatting and review of legal documents and presentations;
Create and maintain a legal database by downloading related contracts and documents and keep it up to date by regularly checking the accuracy of its content;
Perform all other related clerical and administrative tasks (expense account, photocopies, mailings, etc.);
Participate in the preparation of legal presentations;
Execute special projects upon request.
Paralegal certificate and/or three to five years of relevant work experience;
Strong client service skills and the flexibility to support the work of other executives;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Time management, planning and organizational skills;
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint;
Autonomy, versatility and attention to detail;
Able to perform flawless work, even under pressure.
