Our Prince George location is currently looking for an energetic individual that enjoys the daily challenges of Human Resources and Payroll.

Job duties:

Our HR Coordinator/Payroll administrator is responsible for overall HR requirements at our different locations and the payroll needs of our employees. The successful candidate will work with our managers and project supervisors to ensure staffing needs are met and payroll administration is completed in an accurate and timely manner. The duties listed below are a guideline of what would be expected in this position, but you would not be limited to these items.

  • HR Coordinator
  • Organizing job recruitment, selection, and promotion
  • Developing and overseeing employee benefits and wellness programs
  • Developing, promoting and enforcing personnel policies
  • Promoting employee career development and job training
  • Providing orientation programs for new hires
  • Providing guidance regarding disciplinary actions
  • Payroll Administrator
  • Responsible for the hourly, salary, semi-monthly and bi-weekly pay runs that are conducted for different departments and locations
  • Payroll reports completed and filed with the controller
  • Employee payroll related general ledger accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
  • All T4 preparations and printing

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will have experience as an HR coordinator or assistant and will have a complete understanding of payroll and labour laws for BC.

  • Certificate or diploma in Human Resources or Payroll OR 2-3 years of similar work experience
  • Experience with Social Media Recruiting
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting skills
