We are seeking a student intern co-op position for 12 months who is interested in supply chain, operations management, finance, systems and process improvement.
This assignment would involve supporting the North America Contract Manufacturing Operations team (CMO) and would be based in GSK Consumer Health division in Warren office. The CMO team is responsible for the management of third party manufacturing facilities supplying consumer products to the global market.
Process mapping of supply chain processes (purchase order through to payment to supplier) for North America CMO Supplier Network.
Identify areas for improvement and implementation using root cause analysis.
Responsible for the tracking and delivery of the improvements for North America CMO.
Responsible for tracking North America CMO Supplier Invoice Status, acting as a single point of contact for North America CMO and Suppliers for second stage escalation.
Responsible for managing meetings and documenting actions to ensure timely payment of invoices within CMO.
Ensure key metrics are implemented and communicated on a weekly and monthly basis.
Responsible for ensuring system data is accurate for CMO suppliers through review, analysis and action.
Improve and simplify processes; through standardization, simplification and efficiency improvements.
Review current CMO North America finance and procurement cost performance tracking systems, propose and implement improvements.
Pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, or Science with demonstrated interest in finance, process improvement, and supply chain
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications, specifically in Excel
Able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12 month co-op.
Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Basic understanding of supply chain
Passion for data mining and data visualization
Self-starter who is innovative and a solution-based thinker
Results oriented with a proven ability to deal with ambiguity, take initiative, lead and manage project
Analytical and problem solving required
SAP user experience
