The Analytic & Insights Group at The AIR MILES® Reward Program provides world class analytical solutions through the delivery of insights that enable our clients to build stronger mutually-beneficial relationships with their customers. The AIR MILES Rewards Program Analytics & Insights Team is looking for a seasoned Analytics & Insights Manager to join our team in Toronto/Calgary/Montreal. We are looking for exceptional analytics professional with a blend of CRM analytics, campaign management, customer insight, marketing and client services skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for (1) coach a team of analytical professional (2) provide expert thought-leadership in enabling the development of customer-centric loyalty marketing strategies by delivering world class analytical solutions & insights (3) collaborate with the rest of the Client Services Team to enable our clients to build stronger, mutually-beneficial relationships with their customers.

What will you be doing?

Coach: Lead, attract, inspire & retain a team of talented Analytics professionals; Communicate and champion the Analytics & Insights vision throughout team

Change Agent: Coach the team to approach analytics with a business impact mentality

Thought-Leader: Collaborate with the rest of Client Services Team to understand client’s business needs, co-define campaign scope/objectives, campaign design, success criteria, targeting & measurement, strategy, client marketing calendar to optimize the client’s loyalty marketing

Gate Keeper: Plan, manage work demand and work flow for the team, develop schedules, prioritize work demand and ensure timely completion of work while maintaining high quality. Communicate and proactively manage key stakeholder’s expectation

Establish relationships with senior client leadership and deliver presentations as needed

Assist in business development initiatives when needed

Conduct quarterly forecasting and monthly variance analyses with the rest of Client Services Team and provide explanation of variances as required

What will you bring?

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field: Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Math. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience in customer analysis and insight delivery

Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience

Functional Expertise – Experience with SAS, SQL, R, relational databases, data warehouses, BI (e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau); Expert knowledge in campaign management, customer analytics, CRM, segmentation, modeling; Qualitative and quantitative consumer research techniques

Business Acumen – Retail / Merchandising or financial services industry experience an asset; Expert knowledge in direct marketing, market research, experimental design; Interpret research, extracting insights, linking to strategies, and communicating a compelling summary of findings and drive results

Leadership – Demonstrated coaching and people skills to build, engage and maintain strong working relationships with the team, internal stakeholders, external clients; Confidence to adapt to and manage changing (and occasionally conflicting) priorities; Demonstrated assertiveness when working in ambiguous and challenging situations

Business Skills - strong understanding of retailing - merchandising and direct marketing (market research, experimental design); interpret research, extracting insights, linking to strategies, and communicating a compelling summary of findings and drive results, client communication and presentation.
