MP&CO Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, high energy Carpenter to join our team! MP&CO Inc. provides general construction and project management with delivery across Canada and is comprised of highly trained top-quality personnel. The successful candidate will be flexible, well organized and capable of dealing with our customers. This job could transition to a Carpenter Foreman position for an individual who possesses the right attitude, work ethic, willingness to learn, attention to detail and diligence. The ideal candidate will have their own transportation to and from work. We offer performance-based advancement and a fast-paced environment with excellent benefits. This is an evening position, (shift is 10:00pm-6:00am).

Role Description:

  • Makes, installs, and/or modified cabinets, cupboards, and shelving for any area
  • Logs in all carpenter repairs and installations
  • Strong understanding of the flow of trades and how to prioritize tasks on job sites
  • Hang doors, kitchen cabinets, drywall and frame small walls (mud walls)
  • General carpentry from rough to finish
  • Follow specifications and schedules on job site(s) for custom building construction
  • Comply with safety requirements throughout job site
  • Maintain an efficient level of work productivity

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experienced, working career carpenter with demonstrated experience in all aspects of professional carpentry (e.g. self-perform tile, plumbing, electrical, paint, cabinetry, trim, door hardware and fixture repairs)
  • 5+ years of progressive construction experience, ideally under some experienced supervision
  • Strong demonstrated work ethic and ability to efficiently produce high quality carpentry
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others including problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Organizational and time management skills including the use of email, text, and calls on cell phone
  • Must be able to work in occupied premise
  • Valid driver's license and own your own vehicle.
  • A passion to improve and learn new techniques
  • Certifications in WHMIS, St. John’s First Aid an asset
  • Certification for working at heights and driving forklift
  • Flexibility to travel across Canada

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
