he Assistant Manager - Visual is responsible for creating a dynamic shopping environment which incorporates corporate visual direction, fashion trend statements, visual presentations and promotional events to support the sale of full priced merchandise and the overall profitability of the store. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager’s to set directives, train and maintain the visual standards for merchandise presentation, coach existing and new associates on company floor standards for appropriate visual presentation and placement of merchandise. The Assistant Manager - Visual is responsible for interpreting and implementing corporate visual directives, working with the input of the Store Manager to ensure that they are executed effectively in the store location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
CUSTOMER-

Produces visual presentations that attracts customers, encourages shopper interest and drives sales.
Reviews overall store environment as it relates to the customer experience and ensures that concerns are appropriately elevated for resolution.

COMPANY-

Partners with Store and Department managers to interpret and customize visual direction and brand appropriate strategic merchandising to maximize sales.
Oversees the implementation and follow-up of marketing elements for current promotions to ensure that signage is displayed according to visual directives.
Update/maintain mannequin styling through seasonal and shipment changes.
Update/execute merchandising changes throughout the selling cycles.
Installation of window displays (where applicable).
Execution of the promotional calendar.
Partners in overseeing merchandise placement on the sales floor.
Directing and assisting in merchandise shops set up, holiday installation, supervising floor moves.
Planning and coordinating planning, execution and recovery with Store Management team.
Maintaining visual budget, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and sound decision making in execution of visual initiatives.

CULTURE-

Execution/training of visual merchandise standards.
Develops a high performing team through consistent training, coaching and monitoring of performance.
Assess and monitors talent in partnership with the Store Manager and HR to build and deliver proper level of training.
Conducts regular performance reviews of the associate team.
Takes action on poor performance and resolves conflict.
Creates a climate of trust, professionalism and respect within the team.
Retains talent through motivating, recognizing and development of team.

REQUIREMENTS:
Time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrates ability to coach, provide feedback, and manage substandard performance.
Excellent communication, presentation, delegation, follow-up and leadership skills
Conflict management and resolution skills.
Visual merchandising skills.
Business acumen.
Two-year college degree or equivalent experience preferred.

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store associates.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, and maneuver around sales floor and stockroom.
Ability to work a flexible schedule
