Performance Auto Group is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our busy cross-functional team. This position requires travel between sites 10% of the time in Southern Ontario. The Payroll Specialist will report to the Group Payroll Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payroll preparation and processing including payroll accounting, source deductions and remittances, special payments and various financial duties pertaining to the company's payroll process.

Essential Job Tasks:
Bi-Weekly payroll data entry for multiple locations in different geographic regions (two regional payrolls on back to back cycles)
Audit and reconcile full cycle payroll transactions
Manually adjust as required any time cards in ADPs time and attendance
Liaise with managers & staff on a regular basis to confirm any payroll discrepancies
Process bi-weekly commissions
Process monthly bonuses
Actively participate in the Payroll Ticket System providing articulate responses to managers and employees via email and telephone to a variety of inquiries with backup
Set up new hires in ADP WorkForce Now
Provide superior customer service to employees with questions relating to their pay
Ensure Termination process in payroll system and confirm ROE has been issued in accordance with legislation through ADP
Perform monthly reconciliations
Process manual cheques when required
Perform Year End payroll duties (PIERs, T4s, EHT, WSIB)
Perform independently and as a team player
Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 years full-cycle payroll processing experience in a high volume 1000+ required
PCP strongly designation required or in progress
ADP Payroll Experience strongly desired
Experience with Reporting in ADP an asset
Experience with Time and Attendance systems preferred
Strong Excel with Vlookup and Pivot Tables
Knowledge of Payroll legislation and statutory requirements
Experience with Google an asset
Accuracy and attention to detail of a high calibre
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English
Sound computing skills required
Must exercise full discretion and confidentiality with information in an ethical and professional manner
A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle required
