About the role

The Staffing Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to own both people operations as well as recruiting responsibilities to make a big impact while scaling the team within ChefHero. You will be responsible for sourcing new talent, owning the onboarding process, contract administration, policy updates and administration. Not only will you be owning the Human Resources capabilities you will also be taking care of the Operations of the business. This includes, but is not limited to Executive Assisting the management team, expense reporting and general day to day administrative support. You want to learn and do more. Job Duties

Human Resources (85%)

· Own the maintenance of employee records in our HRIS and ensure accuracy of data held;

· Contract and verification administration: Create all contracts and verification docs for the company (employment agreements, amendments, proof of employment documentation, severance packages);

· Provide detailed employee reports upon request including time off and performance;

· Assist in the development of job descriptions and ensure accuracy against business need and highlight discrepancies with management;

· Coordinate and support full cycle recruitment activities including, posting job ads, screening candidates, interview scheduling, reference checking and creating employment agreements.;

· Generate reports and analyze data on talent demographic across the business and provide recommendations to ensure diversity and inclusion goals are met;

· Carry out internal culture reviews across teams and provide feedback on data collected to management and provide solutions that foster a positive working environment Administer and maintain benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence etc;

· Onboarding/offboarding administration for all employees: Creating new employee logins (Gsuite, Slack, Collage), adding and removing employees from all HRIS programs;

· Responsible for administration of onboarding system training sessions e,g Collage, Concur and slack etc.;

· Perform new hire orientations and work alongside hiring managers to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the work culture and environment;

· Own CoOp program - Recruit graduates of colleges, universities and other educational institution;

· Work alongside the Management team to monitor employee performance and create performance improvement plans as needed;

· Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting comply;

· Maintain the company policy manual and enforce, educate when necessary.

Office Management (15%)

· Scheduling meetings, maintaining boardroom calendars, tidying board rooms when needed;

· Scheduling travel for executives and other employees including hotel, airfare, cars;

· Scheduling travel itineraries for meetings/bookings;

· Maintaining company google drive, specific team drives (corporate, HR, Leadership Team);

· Own all Gsuite Administration (email, calendars, groups, drives);

· Taking minutes for meetings;

· First point of contact for office maintenance and enquiries e.g building maintenance and equipment inventory;

· Communication to staff: Responsible for relaying important company messages to staff;

· Editing/proofreading of communication to board members, clients etc on behalf of the CEO and as needed for other employees;

· Personal assisting: Attending to the CEO’s business needs as requested;

· Submit monthly expense reports for office purchases;

· AV coordination for meetings/demo day


· 2+ years of recruiting experience.

· Experience with technical recruiting and within a start-up environment is a strong asset;

· Proactive and self-starting nature.;

· Some experience in other HR functions is considered an asset;

· Experience with (and opinions on) applicant tracking systems and other software;

· Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills;

· A values-driven culture enthusiast that can represent ChefHero internally as well as externally;

· Ability to remain confidential and handle sensitive data;

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
