We are currently seeking: Private Services Coordinator—Temporary Part Time, Evenings (Work From Home) until March 2020, with the possibility of extension

Reporting to the Private Services Supervisor, the coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of client and family-centered services in compliance with VHA’s standards of excellence to our private clients. You will provide information to customers inquiring about private services, accept new clients as resources permit, schedule, carry out service changes and updates, maintenance of service plans, and regular communications with private clients, funders, Personal Support Workers, Nurses, and Rehabilitation Service Providers. You will provide ongoing coordination and education to field staff who are supporting clients to achieve more independence.

Key Accountabilities:
Developing and implementing staffing strategies in order to fill customer needs
Managing customer needs for specific business accounts, performing intake and referral where appropriate and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of service
Maintaining date on referral patterns and utilization for monthly reporting statistics
Creating a positive customer experience and continuously improving that experience
Capitalizing on opportunities to develop and grow existing accounts in line with the private services strategy
Liaising with other departments as needed

Key knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and other attributes:
Relevant university or college degree or commensurate experience in a customer service setting
Knowledge of home health care services and past experience in a health related private services setting preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate with (both internal and external) customer with confidence, fairness and a passion for creating a positive customer experience
Ability to multi-task and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to provide administrative/process support for setup and ongoing servicing of private business accounts;
Strong sense of accountability and ownership of private services deliverables
Highly organized, ability to prioritize tasks and flexible to accommodate changing demands
Results oriented, able to work well independently and as part of a team; ability to take initiative
High degree of attention to detail
High degree of computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (especially Word and Excel)
Satisfactory completion of technical skills testing requirement for the position (MS outlook, excel and word)
Experience with GoldCare or other health information database will be an asset
Ability to support field staff working with clients and clearly communicate tasks and duties
Creative thinker with the ability to come up with outside-the-box solutions to challenging problems
Ability to travel outside the office on occasion as required (i.e. client or staff meetings)
