Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Commercial Finance Manager, this position delivers critical decision support and analytics to drive business opportunities for the Marketing, Trade Marketing and Sales Functions with respect to Advertising & Promotion Spend. This position is accountable for the execution of month end accruals and related reporting, as well as directs the development and operationalization of enhanced Budgeting, analytical tools and processes. In addition, this role will act as a key Business Lead for our internal Total Promotion Management (TPM) business insights/analytics tool to drive actionable insights in line with our short-term strategy and long-range plan.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide analysis and recommendations that drive value and decision support to the business and allow for the making of strategically sound decisions utilizing financial analysis and advanced modelling techniques
Create new and innovative reporting methods to aid management in proactive problem solving
Lead the development and maturation of models to maximize return on investment and spend effectiveness, within the scope of Total Promotion Management (TPM)
Lead initiatives on Advertising & Promotion optimization: both tactical and strategic
Deliver Business Intelligence Summaries (BIS) to highlight risks & opportunities with respect to investment
Participate in new initiatives to support expanded Sales and Trade Marketing organizations including visibility and tracking of Sales A&P
Lead trade review/reporting process. Support key stakeholders to manage their budgeted spend levels and ensure overspends are avoided
Play an active role in the companys Collaborative Business Planning process and participate in budget preparations and analysis
Provide support for auditor reviews & audit.

Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong business acumen, well-developed general business knowledge, solid level of commercial rigor and big picture thinking
High capability for innovation/making things happen, leads change effectively through strong customer focus, influencing and partnering
Demonstrated initiative, with strong attention to detail
Advanced Excel modelling skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Driven and highly motivated self-starter who works well with limited supervision
Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in business/commerce
MBA or professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA) preferred
5+ years Finance/Analytics experience required
Previous industry experience in Alcohol / Consumer Packaged Goods is an asset
Previous experience with BI tools including Essbase, Hyperion, Oracle Enterprise reporting systems and/or Trade Promotion Management (TPM) would be an asset
