Job Summary

  • Field Service Technician for one of our Biggest Steel Clients located in Hamilton.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and trouble shooting on refractory and Flow Control emplacement equipment at customer location
  • Provide support in monitoring ongoing product performance, installation and introduction of new product applications
  • Operation of crane – training provided
  • Conduct regular inventory management functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs plus

Vesuvius Canada's Head Office is located in Welland Ontario. Vesuvius Canada Inc., a leading Manufacturer and Installer of refractory products for Steel and Industrial markets and we have an opening within our Flow Control Business Unit. It involves working various shifts, including some weekends, as well as, being on-call for troubleshooting. Overtime may be required.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

  • College diploma in a technical field – i.e./ Mechanical Engineering /Technology
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers’ licence
  • Fluent and clear English
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Industrial plant environment experiences an asset i.e./ operation of tow motor/crane
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of industrial safety / WHMIS training certificate
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
