About the Company

DocuPet Inc. is a fast growing company that’s mission is to provide a safe and happy home for every pet. In partnerships with cities across the United States and Canada, DocuPet manages pet licensing programs and promotes responsible pet ownership across these communities. We offer lost and found pet services, online pet profiles, and pet tags to help ensure the safety of our cities, citizens and pets. It all starts with a licence!

We are partnered with the Welland SPCA and Niagara Falls Humane Society to effectively offer these services for the community.

About the Job

DocuPet community representatives are on the frontline of awareness when it comes to pet licensing. As a community representative, you are tasked with educating our service area about the benefits of licensing for pets. This is accomplished through DocuPet’s community canvassing program, where our representatives distribute educational materials. In most cases, there is no interaction with the homeowner required. This job is a great fit for outgoing, self-motivated individuals who are looking to escape from behind a desk and gain satisfaction from hitting and exceeding targets. Your work directly impacts the quality of life for this community’s pets!

A day in the life of a Community Engagement Rep - the 3 R’s

Readiness: You’ll kick off the day with a quick check-in with the team to see how you’re doing and how we can best prepare you to conquer the shift ahead. Communication and teamwork is important to us, especially when you have fellow community reps working all across two countries!

Record: Next up is to pull your route information from DocuPet’s easy to use online system and to map out your day. Then, head door to door leaving informational door hangers to grow the awareness around the requirement and benefit of pet licensing. You will want to have a strong observational eye and keep accurate notes of your interactions and observations.

Report: Now you’ve hit every door on your current shift and it’s time to head home before the end of your work day. The last half hour of each day you’ll spend on DocuPet’s online platform and accurately report all of your collected data from the day. Your attention to detail shines here as the better we report, the better our entire company is able to share accurate and up to date information. Your reports are key to a well functioning program!

Scheduling, and how you build your 3 R’s into your shift is flexible. Transportation, public or private, is required to get to the start of a route, but typically the rest of your day is spent enjoying the outdoors and walking through neighborhoods in your community.

Working as a Community Engagement Representative in your community is a rewarding opportunity to help DocuPet in its mission of providing a safe and happy home for every pet across North America.
