Visco Industrial Bolton (Napa/Traction) is currently hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk!
Under the Supervision of the Office Manager the Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for contacting, collecting, processing, and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. The Accounts Receivable Clerk also supports overall financial, administrative, and clerical duties of the business ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations. This position plays a key role in achieving the store’s financial objectives. This is a contract position with medical benefits after a 3 month probation, which potentially will lead into a full-time position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables data.
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Set up new accounts in the company database
- Review and release orders on hold
- Posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Reconcile accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues and bring the matter to a timely conclusion so the account will be paid and remain in good standing
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients by phone and email
- Preparation and distribution of customer statements
- Other duties as required or assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Post-Secondary education in Business, Accounting or related field
- 1+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and collection regulations
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office; especially Word and Excel
- Excellent customer service and negotiation skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to multi-task
