Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) the Controller is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all accounting activities for ATX including; the production of scheduled and periodic financial reports, maintenance of the companies ERP system/accounting records, establishing and monitoring appropriate financial controls and policies to mitigate risk, ensure the accuracy and compliance to GAAP of the company's reported financial results.

The above mandate will be achieved through the following duties which outline, but do not limit, the regular position requirements. These may be revised from time to time as business conditions dictate, at the discretion of the CFO:

Preparation of complete monthly and quarterly financial reports within set timelines;
Ensures that all banking transactions and government remittances are timely and accurate;
Ensures accurate and timely recording of all accounting transactions, adjustments and journal entries;
Monitors all current and operating leases;
Ensures financial transactions are compliant with applicable regulations/legislation and internal policies and procedures;
Prepares and maintains cash projection schedules;
Conducts all required year end work;
Coordinates internal audit activity and addresses any findings;
Safeguarding of assets, including frequent asset verification
Assists in the preparation of budgets;
Assists in establishing and monitoring appropriate financial policies and controls for the organization;
Lead, develop and supervise the accounting team (including 1 Manager with Staff)
Performs all tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures including but not limited to ISO, Health and Safety; and
Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess the following:
Recognized Accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA);
Minimum of 10 years full cycle accounting experience within the manufacturing sector;
Experience with Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE);
Experience managing foreign exchange and intercompany transfers;
Several years of supervisory experience with the demonstrated ability to lead a team;
Expert level experience with Epicor 10 or another major ERP software;
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
Hands on with the ability to manage multiple time sensitive tasks/projects simultaneously;
Superior organizational skills, ability to self-manage/motivate to achieve desired results;
Superior communication skills both oral and written, to present and exchange technical/complex information to audiences with varying financial expertise; and
Excellent interpersonal skills capable of interacting with all levels of associates both internal and external to the organization.

Supervises a Manager with direct reports and will be responsible for performance management and salary reviews.

Responsible for financial reporting, monitoring budgets, establishing financial policies and systems for the organization.
Liaises with external auditors and government representatives.
Conducts banking on behalf of the organization and has cheque signing authority.

This position may require infrequent travel within North America.
