Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager

The Hilton Garden Inn is looking for a dynamic professional to join the Food and Beverage team. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, the successful candidate will be a service oriented individual, responsible for efficient and courteous service to each guest, both internal and external.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Welcome and greet guests upon their arrival to the restaurant and lounge
Provide expertise on food and beverage menu items to assist guests with their choices and ensure they are aware of the daily specials
Assist Servers in monitoring tables to ensure the patrons are satisfied
Clear tables promptly and replenish supplies as needed
Carry dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen
Perform daily side duties as necessary and when asked
Address guest concerns, if any, in a positive and helpful manner
Work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner
Adhere to and maintain company policies and provincial regulations concerning alcohol consumption, health and safety
Run procedural protocols to open and close as necessary
Provide exceptional customer service

Ability to work as a team player
Highly organized and time efficient
Carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine
Do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way
Lift and carry things like trays of dishes
Ability to handle difficult situations, accommodate special requests
Professional in appearance and demeanor
Able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including weeknights and weekends
A strong desire to exceed guest expectations
Ability to speak in both official languages is considered an asset
