Technology Evaluation is currently looking for a Web Architect. The position reports to the Director of Development and Digital Marketing and involves deep knowledge of solution architectures, SDLC project lifecycle methodologies, and an ability to collaborate with stakeholders.

It requires knowledge in a broad spectrum of architecture domains including Web, Data Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Application Architecture, Business Architecture, and Integration Architecture. The System Architect will also be responsible of coding and testing the solution he or she designs in collaboration with the team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Define and design system components that will satisfy all functional and other requirements and constraints (such as integration services, security layers, persistence and data access, common application services)
  • Specify binding, coupling, and separation of concerns for said components in the overall system design abiding by deployment and configurability requirements
  • Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies to recommend evolution pathways that will ensure that the products remain relevant from a technological perspective while remaining cost effective
  • Oversee implementation and testing of deliverables to ensure compliance with the system design at various phases of the development and/or integration cycles
  • Develop using Microsoft stack both the back end and the front end of the systems
  • Drive technical reviews to ensure that best practices and appropriate standards are upheld in the architecture and design of all solutions
  • Communicate and ensure a common understanding of the architecture by all company stakeholders, including management


  • BS/MS in computer science, software engineering, or management information systems
  • 10+ years of proven experience in web development and web architecture
  • Good knowledge of NoSQL technologies (Elastic Search preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading business application and capability delivery
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience aligning with business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Strong communication, inter-personnel, influence, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Broad knowledge of architecture domains, including business, application, data, infrastructure, and security architectures
  • Extensive experience in SOA and integration technologies and architecture patterns
  • Extensive experience in user facing application architectures, including web and mobile applications
  • Extensive experience in data architecture and design, including relational databases, analytics, and possibly big data
  • Broad experience in technology evaluation and selection
  • Fluent knowledge of architecture modeling, including and beyond UML and BPMN, and related tools
  • Deep knowledge of project delivery methodologies, including agile methodologies
  • Bilingual English/French
