Certified Medical Assistant:
As our new Certified Medical Assistant, your main goal is to keep our clinic running smoothly by providing support to our incredible physicians and medical practitioners. A large part of your job is to ensure the sterilization of medical rooms and equipment. Health and safety is one of our top priorities, and your role will be critical to ensure patients and staff are protected from cross-contamination.

Practically speaking, you will:
Sterilize, tear down and set up procedure rooms, monitoring inventory of sterilized supplies and equipment
Reprocess surgical instruments, medical devices and surgical equipment
Decontaminate, clean, prepare and assemble instrumentation and supplies
Provide pre-op/post-op instruction to patients and place post-op calls
Adhere to standardized infection control protocols, complying with safety and security procedures
Identify abnormal patient conditions and alert supervisor, physicians or nurses
Ensure that records are correct, complete, and kept confidential and secure

Working with Anova Fertility:
This position offers full time hours, and a competitive compensation commensurate with experience. You’ll be based out of our North York location (accessible through TTC), but we may have you work with other locations in the GTA as needed. You’ll typically work from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, with rotating weekend shifts.

Current Medical Assisting certificate from an accredited institution
Relevant experience working as a Medical Assistant
Experience in sterilization and reprocessing of medical devices
Advanced knowledge of infection control principles and medical aseptic techniques
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Experience in customer service would be an asset
Working knowledge of relevant software applications
