The CRM and Data Warehouse Manager will be responsible to identify, select and coordinate the implementation of a CRM database system that best meets current and future needs of the company. The Manager will be responsible for the on-going development of technical best practices for data migration and other ETL-related activities. (Extract, Transform, Load). Once the CRM database system is implemented, the Manager will be responsible for migrating legacy data from a variety of sources and ensure proper, accurate and timely availability of data to be used internally or externally by various business partners. This position requires excellent project management, analytical and communication skills. Crucial to success is a solid understanding of CRM database architecture and how the proposed solutions create value and efficiency for our organization. Ensuring data integrity and the preservation of customer privacy are key tenements to the development of a successful data warehouse. This role falls under the Customer Experience department at Kia Canada and will report to the director of Customer Experience.

Project Management: Design and Manage the Data Extraction and Migration process

Project scoping and securing buy-in from departmental and executive teams

Take the lead in the preparation of data migration plans including migration risks and project milestones

Work with subject matter experts and project team to define, organize, document, and communicate the data migration requirements

Review and analyze system data to prepare for source to target data mapping, ensure conformity to target system requirements and identify potential conversion issues

Ensure optimal integration and seamless data continuity between existing legacy systems to ensure historical data capture and data integrity

Responsible for data translation, transformation, and data cleansing procedures to prepare customer legacy data for smooth and successful import into CRM Database

Oversee transformation and import of legacy data into the required format for target system using established tools and processes, including ETL tool and manual data conversion templates

Make recommendations on how to add, improve or automate data migration process and tools

Quality Assurance and Application Administration

Perform quality assurance review, data migration audit reconciliation and exception reporting

Assisting with end-to-end user acceptance testing and documenting results to ensure the migration of data from the source CRM is accurate

Completes additional projects as assigned

Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in database related disciplines preferred

5-7 years of data migration experience, working with multiple datasets and formats from a variety of vendors, providers and platforms. Prior experience with ETL process highly desired

SQL experience is highly desired

Prior experience with CRM

Project Management skills

Strong work ethic, self-motivation

Excellent instincts and intuitive problem solver

Capable of self-directed work while developing repeatable processes

Ability to clearly communicate with co-workers at all levels of the organization
