Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible to ensure exceptional guest service delivery and efficiency in alignment with organizational service and compliance goals. Elevate the in-café customer experience and implement and enforce café standards while managing cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Preparation & Knowledge

  • Making drinks, including blender and espresso-based beverages
  • Providing product information to Baristas and Managers
  • Equipment maintenance and calibration (espresso machine, grinders, syrup dispensers)

Providing product information to guests

Training

  • Responsible for instore training Managers and Baristas
  • Follow up on E-learning completion at all corporate cafés
  • Espresso Bar – Latte Art, Equipment Maintenance, station organization.
  • Set up and train new corporate café teams including managers.
  • Ensure all systems are in place including administrative and financial requirements
  • Support Coffee College Training as required

Cleaning and Organizing

  • Ensure cafés clean and café walk is used
  • Work with managers on ordering set par levels and monitor bakery orders

Experience Delivery

  • Model consistent, individualized guest experience
  • Act in a friendly, approachable manner
  • Demonstrating passion and confidence for Second Cup brand

Sales Building

  • Develop Local Café Marketing Plans for GTA corporate cafés

Support

  • Support cafés during vacation or times of need to include managing cafés until new managers hired and trained.

Working Conditions

  • Standing for extended period-of-time
  • Some lifting required (between 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.)
  • Exposure to noise (blenders, espresso machine), heat (steam from espresso machine
  • Assist Director of Operations where needed
  • Ability to travel to different locations not limited to Ontario
