Functions and responsibilities

Outreach

Establish relationships with new customers and strengthen existing ones
Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as calling and face-to-face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
Make presentations to senior managers and decision makers
Work with marketing to plan and execute lead generation campaigns
Cultivate strong relationships with third-party and partner companies that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers
Develop and maintain key account plans that identify opportunities for company to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales
Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge in order to have meaningful conversations with prospects

Sales

Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales
Set quarterly objectives based on companies target revenue
Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customer profiles
Draft and deliver proposals with support from the production team
Work with production, creative and technical staff where required to address customer requirements
Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of options and cost benefits of each
Develop business cases to explore new revenue streams

Reporting and Management

Report on sales activity during monthly sales meetings
Develop and maintain territory plans which outline how sales targets will be met on an ongoing basis
Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions
Provide forecasts on best case and most likely sales volumes over relevant time periods
Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems
Identify sales support requirements and work with marketing to develop improve sales tools
Provide feedback on ways to decrease the sales cycle, enhance sales, and improve company brand and reputation
Provide feedback on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offerings
Requirements
In-depth understanding of the Asian markets and regional business opportunities in the multimedia industry
A global contact base with relationships spanning multinational companies between Canada, the United States and Asia
Extensive (5+ years) experience growing and managing a partner network within a creative environment involving digital content production and technology. A proven track record of identifying, evaluating and executing significant business development deals and partnerships
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to influence others
Must possess the executive presence to facilitate the decision-making process among potential clients and senior executives
Independent, self-motivated, attention to detail, proven ability to work well on teams
Bachelor’s degree in Business
Advanced proficiency in both English and Japanese
Expectation of 40% + travel
