Responsible for Daily Technical Operations including Application Management and Support for all Nasdaq provided services. This includes 24/7 Technical Operations and Application Support, managing Incidents for both internal and external customers, installing application updates and maintaining operational documentation and procedures.
Troubleshoots order entry and market data connectivity issues with clients, exchanges, market centers, and network providers.
Linux OS knowledge
Function as part of a team responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of the production environment
Performs real-time monitoring of systems for software/hardware errors, failures and capacity issues; troubleshoot, diagnose and escalate to senior associates.
Follows procedures for startup and shutdown of core systems, recovery procedures, scheduling, backups, and monitors batch processes.
Reviews system capabilities, department workflow, and scheduling requirements.
Collaborate with developers on operations-related issues and provide support
Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS,routing tables, dhcp, load balancing and firewalling, etc.
Experience with regular expressions (regex) and writing shell scripts in Bash
Experience with Gitlab, containerization(Docker) and orchestration systems (Kubernetes) a plus
Creating and maintaining relationships with key customer stakeholders
Order and trade support
Setup and configure participants and users in the exchange systems
Provide support and analysis for all technical queries
Participation in various projects as a project lead within the department and/or technical contributor;
Processes and services improvements;
Education Required: Degree qualified in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business/Finance or other related discipline or equivalent work experience in Data Center, Trading, Computer, or Network Operations.
Experience Required: 1 to 3 years.
Special Qualifications: Certifications relevant for the role are meritorious.
