Barrick is looking for a Full-time ISO Systems Specialist to assist the Sustainability team.

Responsibilities:
Assure that the highest standards of Environmental and Safety performance are incorporated within the site operations.
Ensure that all workers work in a manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedures required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Regulations of this Company.
Follow up with all Environmental concerns on a timely basis.
Ensure effective and efficient implementation of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly scheduling.
Co-ordinate with all production activities to maintain established targets. Work within budget, environment, safety, and health concerns
Administer consistently all systems, standards, company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Contribute to the Continuous Improvement Program by pro-active, measurable involvement
Effectively communicate with all Hemlo employees. Provide necessary details on expectations, support, feedback, and relevant information associated with the mining business unit
Demonstrate commitment and promote safety on a continuous basis
Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labor, and equipment to meet established targets
Actively strive to maximize output safely and efficiently
Know, understand, and ensure all goals and activities. Comply with the objectives of the entire mine
Proactive in the promotion and support of all C.I initiatives

Qualifications:
Knowledgeable in computer skills
Strong understanding of WHMIS and MSDS
Knowledgeable in health, safety and environmental standards
Knowledge of arithmetic for use in computation of test results and analyses.
Knowledge of data processing.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instruction.
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate applicable ethics and due diligence.
Manage time effectively.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills.
Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license.
Knowledge of ISO14001:2015 environmental systems standards.
Knowledge of ISO 45001 health and safety system standards
Communication, leadership and team building skills
Strong prioritization, organization and reasoning skills
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to develop individuals to achieve better results
Proficient in follow-up and feedback
Ability to respond appropriately in pressure situation with a calm and steady demeanor.
High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
