  • Recognizes and greets all guests and team members first
  • Provides exceptional and professional service to our guests and team members
  • Ensures the well-being of our guests and team members by being alert to and reporting potential hazards
  • Comfortable making responsible decisions and develops recommendations for effective problem solving
  • Supervises Banquet Team Members during the shift and ensures friendly, courteous and efficient service is extended to all guests
  • Assists management with department specific training including but not limited to Banquet orientation and initial on-the-job training
  • Assists with weekly scheduling and payroll approvals as required
  • Assists in maintaining all inventory, ordering and product/labour costs
  • Attends and participates in all applicable meetings to discuss upcoming events and forecast operational needs
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings and checks staffing and menus prior to events
  • Makes sure all required equipment is available for event
  • Assigns job tasks to Banquet Team Members
  • When required, requisitions liquor, wine, beer where appropriate
  • Prepares guest checks for posting and payment
  • Assists Banquet Team Members throughout their functions
  • Attends to any guest concerns in a timely and professional manner ensuring the guests need are met
  • Generates and promotes teamwork and good work ethics between Banquet Team Members
  • Actively communicates with guests and event conveners to ensure expectations are exceeded
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness, sanitation and safety in accordance with all health regulations and health and safety requirements
  • Completes all other duties as assigned
