What Our Communications Specialist Looks Like: The Communications Specialist is an energetic and proactive individual with a results-oriented attitude who crafts the textual content for various print, video, advertising, communications and Web needs across the Enterprise. They are responsible for generating the words, slogans and audio scripts that accompany any marketing outputs ensuring a consistent brand voice. They will work closely with our Digital Content Specialist, Graphic Designer and Customer Experience manager to create content for our External and internal Audiences. They will also be responsible for coordinating all translations into both English and French, using our approved translation services. They are customer service focused and able to multitask competing priorities. The Communications Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing.

Your top responsibilities will include creating and editing original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with Haventree Bank’s brand voice.
Ensure adherence to French/English translation requirements for the Enterprise
Manage, coordinate and maintain the copy content needs across departments that touch borrower, broker, depositor and internal audiences.
“Protect the Brand” – Ensure our brand voice is consistent internally and externally
Ensure all copy adheres to any compliance, copyright, and advertising regulations or legislation
You will work in collaboration with Sales & Marketing Team to strengthen brand awareness through development of Marketing collateral such as product sheets, conference handouts, email case studies, customer correspondence,
Qualifications & Attributes:
2 years of experience as a copywriter or communications specialist preferably within the Mortgage industry (or financial services)
Well rounded understanding of multi-channel communication strategy (Web, print, mobile, email, SMS, mail) in both a B2B and B2C environment
French language skills
Salesforce Marketing and Sales cloud experience is an asset
Detail-oriented and well organized
Able to perform well in a fast-paced operation, and with repetitive tasks
Multi-task, with the ability to deal with deadline pressures
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
You have a well-rounded understanding of Microsoft client applications incl. Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, Skype for Business
You approach tasks with a smile, tenacity and a desire to problem solve any issues that cross your path
You are creative, innovative and able to be flexible with our fast-growing business
You enjoy working in a tight knit team, and value candid open communication and respect
Your 2019 Performance Will Be Measured On:
Accuracy of grammar and adherence to brand guidelines
Execution of our marketing plan project deliverables (on time, Objectives met, etc)
Broker and Borrower engagement
Customer Satisfaction: Marketing assistance provided to Sales, Servicing and Operations teams (Survey)
Project Management (product launches, Brand refresh, media/advertising coordination, etc)
Deal Breakers: If you do not have a solid command of the English language or are unable to get your words across in a creative way. Friendly customer service is not your strong suit and you’re not interested in Marketing. Gritty hard work doesn’t interest you – we want someone who will work hard and revel in their accomplishments and successes. You prefer to work alone and not on a team. You are unable to juggle multiple competing priorities and not capable of setting expectations on your deliverables.
