We are currently seeking a Leadership and Development Coordinator to join our Talent Planning and Change/People, Culture and Performance team in Ottawa!

As a member of the Talent Planning and Change group, you will play an integral role in the implementation, delivery, evaluation and enhancement of learning and development initiatives aligned to organizational, team and individual objectives. In this role you will perform a variety of duties to support and leverage People, Culture and Performance (PCP) programs and processes. These duties include the planning, organizing, administrating and marketing of development offerings (including digital programs, 360 assessments, etc.) and events. A key aspect of this work is to deeply understand the learners’ experience and continuously improve the offerings to ensure an optimal learning experience.

You will also be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing specific, smaller projects/initiatives and/or components of major, complex projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administer Canadian Blood Services’ learning and development offerings.
Administers Assessments.
Supports continuous improvement efforts.
Manages the administration of Canadian Blood Services’ senior leadership assemblies and supports other work in the leadership and talent mandate, as required.
Supports vendor management efforts.
Performs work in accordance with the provisions of the Canadian Blood Services’ Corporate Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Required Skills

Education, Training and Experience:
Post-secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including excel, word, PowerPoint.

Demonstrated Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills are required.
Desire to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong focus on user experience is essential.
Strong written and oral communication skills in English is essential.
Strong attention to detail is a requirement.
Experience with Learning and Development technologies (e.g. Learning Management Systems, On-line assessment tools, etc.).
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and PowerPoint programs.
Working knowledge of project management principles is an asset.
Ability to conduct business professionally and develop strong working relationships with internal customers, all levels of management and other stakeholders.
Effective interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Has an ability to create rapport with others and builds trust by gaining the confidence of others.
Experience managing vendor relationships, preferably in a training or consulting environment.
Managing people is not a direct requirement, but a good understanding of management skills and models, and an understanding of managers’ needs and priorities.
